The 11th Eurovision Young Musicians final was held in at Konzerthaus in Berlin, Germany on 19 June 2002. There were 20 participants in total, and seven of these were selected to perform in the televised final. The finalists were accompanied by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under the leadership of Marek Janowski.  

The jury consisted of:

  • Leonard Slatkin (Conductor) as a Head of the Jury
  • Gian Carlo Menotti (Composer)
  • Anna Gourari (Piano)
  • Jack Martin Händler (Conductor) 
  • Aurèle Nicolet (Flute)
  • Hans Peter Pairott (Concert Manager) 
  • Carole Dawn Reinhart (Trumpet)
