Sara Valencia-Villeta was born in December 1999 in Madrid where she still lives and studies. Sara started playing the violin at 4 years old and has received a substantial number of national and international awards in the past 15 years.
After Sara finished the Elementary Degree, she continued studying at the Conservatory Adolfo Salazar and achieved the End of Professional Degree Award. There Sara played as Concertino of the Chamber Orchestra, of the Camerata of String Quartets and of the Symphony Orchestra. In 2016 she started lessons with Maestro Sergey Teslya and became a student of Higher Music Degree at the prestigious Reina Sofía Superior School of Music in Madrid under the tutelage of Professor Marco Rizzi.
Sara has joined masterclasses with: Mariana Todorova, Mari Tampere, Vera Martinez, Avri Levitan, Keiko Wataya, Manuel Guillén, Agustín León Ara, Oliver Wille, Albor Rosenfeld, Cibran Sierra and Erzhan Kulibaev, among others.
She also played numerous concerts throughout Spain. such as a Soloist with Orchestra in 2011 Vivaldi’s Spring, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in 2016 and Mozart’s Concert nº 3 in 2017, in addition to her many recitals accompanied by a pianist across the country and abroad.
Regarding her chamber music and orchestral activities, Sara has been a member of the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra in Switzerland, under the baton of directors Daniel Harding and Dima Slobodemiouk; she is a member of the Freixenet Orchestra of the ESMRS directed by András Schiff and she is also a member of the Bartok Duo with pianist Anastasia Vorotnaya.
