Thanos Tzanetakis

Thanos Tzanetakis will represent Greece at Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 playing the guitar.

The 17-year-old Thanos Tzanetakis was born in 2001 in Kavala, Greece. From the age of 5 he took up lessons on the classical guitar, the instrument has been an integral part of his life ever since. His commitment led him to win numerous awards both on an international and national level.
Thanos has been attending classical guitar classes for 11 years. The last six years he has been studying in the guitar class of Professor Fotis Koutsothodoros, one of the most distinguished Greek guitarists. In March 2014, Thanos started partaking in various national competitions and festivals, receiving first, second and third prizes at the Guitar Festivals of Thrace, Karditsa and Volos, and many more.
Thanos loves music in every form and is also a talented electrical guitar player. In addition to music, his interests include chess, cryptology, math modeling, trail running and aquathlon.
