Łukasz Dyczko wins €10,000 and will perform a solo concert with WDR's symphony orchestra. Robert Bílý representing the Czech Republic was awarded second prize (€7,000) whilst Dominik Wagner representing Austria took third prize (€3,000).

The show was watched by several thousand people gathered in front of the Cologne Cathedral in the centre of the city. The open-air concert saw 11 participants from all over Europe perform with WDR's orchestra.

Jon Ola Sand, the EBU's Head of Live Events, said about the competition "the Eurovision Young Musicians competition is an excellent platform for public service broadcasters to encourage young talent in classical music, and give the participants an opportunity to be seen on an international stage. Previous winners have enjoyed great success in the classical world and we wish the same for Łukasz".

The next edition of Eurovision Young Musicians will take place in 2018, the host city is expected to be announced next year.
