Every year in August the Scottish capital becomes the focus of the arts world. For three weeks the city is alive with some of the best music, theatre, opera, and dance from around the globe.
Just over a week ago, 18 of Europe’s most talented young performers arrived in Edinburgh and were greeted by Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon – each young musician here to represent their home nation on a global stage
To compete for this Eurovision Young Musicians title they had already come through a national selection process in their own countries.
The Semi-Final stage took place last weekend in front of an international jury Chaired by David Watkin - Head of Strings at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
